IVDmap is a global in vitro diagnostics (IVD) product discovery, supplier intelligence, and procurement platform serving laboratory professionals, distributors, and procurement teams. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the platform, why we collect it, and the choices available to you.

Data controller and contact

IVDmap is the data controller for personal data processed through this platform. For any privacy question, request, or complaint, contact [email protected] or send a message through our request quote form and it will be routed to the responsible team.

What we collect

Inquiry and RFQ details. When you submit an inquiry or a request for quotation (RFQ), we collect the information you provide: your name, professional email address, organization, role, country, products of interest, volumes, and any technical specifications or messages you include.

Usage analytics. We collect technical and behavioral data such as pages viewed, search terms, filter selections, device and browser type, truncated IP address, and referring pages.

Account and communications. If you register an account, we store your professional profile and authentication data. We also keep records of correspondence with you about your submissions.

Purposes and legal basis

We process this information to operate and secure the platform, to route inquiries and RFQs to matching suppliers, to respond to your questions, to improve catalog quality and search relevance, and to produce aggregated usage statistics. Depending on the circumstance, the legal basis is your consent, the performance of a service you have requested, our legitimate interest in running a secure business-to-business platform, or compliance with legal obligations.

Professional use only — no patient data

The platform is designed for professional, business-to-business use. Sensitive patient information should not be submitted through any form, RFQ, message, or document upload. We do not knowingly collect patient-identifiable data. If you believe such data has reached us, notify [email protected] and we will delete it promptly.

Retention

Inquiry and RFQ records, including routed correspondence, are kept for up to 24 months after resolution of the request, and are then deleted or anonymized. Account data is retained while your account is active and for a short period after deletion. Aggregated analytics may be retained longer in non-identifying form.

Third parties and RFQ routing

When you submit an inquiry or RFQ, we route it to a maximum of three suppliers whose catalog matches your request, together with the contact and requirement details they need to respond. We also rely on service providers for hosting, search, email delivery, and analytics; they process data only on our documented instructions. We do not sell personal data or share it for third-party advertising.

Your rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise a right, contact [email protected]. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep the platform functional and secure, and analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can control non-essential cookies through the consent banner or your browser settings.

International transfers

IVDmap operates internationally, and your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where personal data leaves the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
